LAGUNA RAINBOW CORPORATION
Founded in 1979, Laguna Rainbow Corporation (LRC) has reached over 40 years of service to Native elders. Established by Pueblo of Laguna Council, the vision has been to ensure that the needs of elders are met to preserve their roles as wise keepers of our cultural values and traditions. LRC was designed to deliver culturally responsive long-term care programs and services – residential and community-based – on Laguna lands; thereby keeping elders placed with and/or close to their traditional practices, languages, families, and family homes. LRC was also incorporated to grow and employ local leaders in the aging and long-term care and healthcare fields. Services are provided between two distinct facilities:
Laguna Elderly Care Center—Nursing Home
24-hour Nursing Care
Restorative Nursing Program
Traditional Native American Meals (including special diets)
Social, Cultural, and Wellness Activities
K’awaika Senior Center
Congregate and Home-Delivered Meals
Non-emergency and Specialized (Wheelchair) Transportation
Health, Wellness, and Cultural Activities (Including Field Trips)
Nutrition and Wellness Education
